Murphy (William)
We can trace our Murphy family back to Joe’s 3rd great-grandfather William J. Murphy, born around 1789, who lived in Knocklonogad, Garryhill, Co. Carlow and married Mary Murphy, also from Knocklonogad. They had at least one child, John, who married Mary McDonald, with whom he had nine children.
