Hudson

Our Hudson family can be traced back to my 5th great-grandfather William Hudson, born probably in Bunagara, Listowel, Co. Kerry in the early years of the 18th century. The Hudson family was Protestant and had come to Ireland from England, probably in the 16th century, having been granted land in north Kerry. Several of William’s descendants settled in Tralee, Co. Kerry and in Kilbaha, Newtownsandes (now Moyvane), Co. Kerry. The Kilbaha branch was Catholic, following the marriage around 1815 of my 3rd great-grandfather Richard Hudson to Margaret Finucane, who was Catholic. For further information on the family, please click on descendant list or narrative report, or on one of the photographs below.
