Doody

We can trace our Doody family back to my probable 3rd great-grandfather James Doody, born in the late 17th century, possibly in Co. Limerick. He married Catherine O’Connor and they had at least five children, one of whom, Michael, was born around 1820, possibly in Knocklong, Co. Limerick. Michael settled in the townland of Ardnamoher, Galbally, Co. Limerick were he and his wife, Johanna (née Quirke), raised 12 children.
